Liquid-protected FM 200 gas extinguishing systems are colorless and odorless. It is stored in cylinders under 25 bar pressure. The reason for its wide distribution is that it does not cause any harm to the area where it is applied and to human health. The liquid gas inside is applied to the combustible area by spraying, and FM200 gas forms a layer covering the combustible surface in the form of icicles. Similar in structure to Halon gas, FM 200 gas is a physical fire extinguishing system, not a chemical one like Halon gas
Carbon dioxide gas quickly reduces the oxygen balance in the volume it serves, and as a result, together with the shock effect caused by the released carbon dioxide, it manages to reduce the temperature in the corresponding area. Since carbon dioxide gas extinguishing systems, which have a very effective extinguishing power, are harmful to human health, they are considered suitable for use in unmanned environments.
